Umesh Gaur, Ph.D.

Umesh Gaur, Ph.D. is the President of Gaur Asset Management and its principal portfolio manager. Umesh has been managing client portfolios for about twenty years. Umesh holds a master’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology, and a doctorate in chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 

Umesh completed Financial Planning Institute’s program to be a Certified Financial Planner at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1998.

Umesh has served on the Boards of Rutgers Preparatory School in New Brunswick, NJ and Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA

Umesh is married to Sunanda Gaur, Professor of Pediatrics at the Rutgers Medical School. 

The Gaurs are avid collectors of modern Indian art and are considered among top 100 collectors in America. Their collection has been displayed in several museums and galleries and is housed in their private gallery called BINDU modern. (www.BINDUmodern.org)
